In “21 Jump Street,” Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum’s characters were both enemies at school, but became unlikely friends at the Police Academy several years later .
In the sequel “22 Jump Street” Hill and Tatum went undercover to infiltrate yet another drug ring and while Ice Cube played their tough-talking captain.

It looks like their trio are returning for third installment in the movie reboot franchise as producer Neal H. Moritz confirmed “24 Jump Street” is in the works, sharing a photo of the script’s cover page, which clarifies the title.
“It took so long we had to make, we had to skip one,” reads the sequel’s tagline.
Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, known for the animated film “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” and “The Lego Movie” are returning to produce after co-directing the first two movies, with producer Neal H. Moritz also back.
The film is inspired by the popular television series, which starred Johnny Depp, “21 Jump Street.”
