Jodeci Celebrates 35th Anniversary

They were an 80s R&B group known for their signature style and soulful harmonies, that influenced a generations of artists.  

Jodeci is celebrating the 35th anniversary of their #1 debut album, “Forever My Lady” with a US tour.

The ​tour will start on Saturday, October 24 at The Masonic in San Francisco, CA, making stops in major markets including Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, New Orleans, Miami, Atlanta, and more, before wrapping up on Saturday, December 19 for a special hometown concert at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte, NC.  

Ticket presales will begin Wednesday, July 29 at 10 a.m. local time, running throughout the week, with the general public on sale starting Friday, July 31 at 10 a.m. local time at Jodeci35.com.

​The group’s a​chievements include 2.7 billion streams worldwide in addition to over 20 million albums sold, five #1 songs, three #1 albums, three Billboard Music Awards, and two Soul Train Music Awards​.​ Their debut album Forever My Lady (1991) was a huge success reaching #1 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart in its first week of release, and featured the hit single, “Forever My Lady,” which climbed to #1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles and Tracks chart. Ruling the charts for an unprecedented 49 weeks, the album’s classic hits “Come & Talk To Me,” and “Stay,” also topped the charts reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Their second album, Diary Of A Mad Band (1993) went #1 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart, penning their hit single, “Cry For You” which landed at #1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles and Tracks chart. JODECI’s third album, The Show, The After Party, The Hotel(1995) gave the group their third #1 album on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart, producing hit songs “Freek’n You,” and “Love U 4 Life.” 

Fans on this milestone tour will experience the group’s catalog of chart-topping R&B classics performed live, including major hits from Forever My Lady that were #1 hits on the Billboard charts including “Forever My Lady”, “Come and Talk to Me”, and “Stay” plus radio staples “Love U 4 Life,” “Lately,” “Cry For You,” “Feenin’,” “Freek’n You,” and more.
