Tyler Perry’s latest drama follows a preacher named Isaac (Tank) as he and his wife, Rebecca (Fantasia Barrino), travel to New York City with their family. Isaac has been tasked with rebuilding a failing church in a rough neighborhood, but restoring it to its former glory will require nothing short of a miracle.
When the struggling pastor inherits his family’s church in a broken New York neighborhood, he battles doubt, temptation, and a sinister adversary and must rediscover his faith and the power of prayer to save his church, his family, and his community.

“The vision for ‘The Gospel of Christmas’ started with me listening to the songs that inspired me, that got me through some really, really rough times,” Perry shares with Tudum.
The movie features a soundtrack of contemporary and classic songs spanning gospel, rap, and holiday music, produced by the legendary Kirk Franklin.
With a star studded cast the movies include Gospel great Pastor Shirley Caesar, Hezekiah Walker and Karen Clark Sheard.
“The Gospel of Christmas” releases in the United States on November 11th.
