The heartwarming comedy series about an American football coach called Ted (Jason Sudeikis) hired to manage a British soccer team was a win with audiences when it premiered in 2020 on Apple TV.

Fast forward 6 years “Ted Lasso,” which became a cultural phenomenon, is back with a 4th season and features British actress Shannon Hayes.
Season 4 follows Ted returning to the UK from Kansas to take on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second-division women’s football team and Hayes plays a recurring “Soccer Girl” who occasionally bumps into Ted around Richmond.
“It’s about finding a new family in this season. Finding your feet, finding your home and new people with a new place,” shares Hayes whose television credits include “Undercover” and “Cold Feet.”
Radiating warmth with endearing romances, workplace dramas, big games and big speeches, “Ted Lasso” is more charming than hilarious and returning characters include Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca Welton, Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent, Juno Temple as Keeley Jones, Brendan Hunt as Coach Beard and Jeremy Swift as Leslie Higgins.
Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.
“Ted Lasso” returns to the pitch on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, on Apple TV.
