The trailer has hit the web for Academy Award winner Michael B. Jordan’s latest film.
Jordan pulls triple duty, directing, producing, and starring as a billionaire in “The Thomas Crown Affair,” the famous romantic heist media franchise which centers on a wealthy billionaire who steals high-value artwork for the thrill of the challenge, only to fall into a high-stakes cat-and-mouse game with the investigator tracking him.
A remake of the 1999 drama directed by John McTiernan, Pierce Brosnan initially tackled the role of Thomas Crown who shifted from a bank robber to a high-end art thief targeting a priceless Claude Monet painting from New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
In Jordan’s version, there is a twist and Adria Arjona (“Hitman”) co-stars as an investigator who becomes entangled in a passionate affair with Crown as she tries to recover the artwork.
Jordan received a Best Actor Oscar earlier this year for his dual role as Smoke and Stack in “Sinners.” It was his first career Academy Award win.
Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurria, Pilou Asbæk also star in the film which features an original score by Grammy-winner Jon Batiste and releases in March 5, 2027.
