From Burna Boy making history to the world premiere of Beenie Man and Vybz Kartel bringing the entire Bowl to fever pitch, Reggae Land wrapped its sixth and biggest edition at Milton Keynes National Bowl.
With over 135,000 attendees at the 3 day festival, the event brought together more than 120 artists across seven stages.
Vybz Kartel made his long-awaited Reggae Land debut, closing the festival on Sunday with the biggest headline crowd in its history. Shenseea joined him for ‘Talk To Me Nuh’ and ‘Panic’, and he brought fiancée Sidem on stage to reveal they’re expecting.
More than 35,000 fans turned out to see Nigeria’s global superstar Burna Boy make his Reggae Land debut as UK’s leading celebration of reggae, dancehall and Caribbean culture returned to The National Bowl.
Known for his energetic performances, Burna Boy brought the deep musical and cultural relationship between Africa and Jamaica into focus with a powerful passionate speech about African pride and perseverance. Standing in front of a sea of African and Jamaican flags he paid tribute to reggae, highlighting the genre’s influence on him and acknowledging the shared musical DNA and enduring relationship between Africa and Jamaica.
Established as one of the world’s major destinations for reggae and dancehall music, Reggae Land is one of the UK’s biggest celebrations of reggae, dancehall and Caribbean music and culture. The festival which was launched in 2021, has grown into a major fixture of the UK festival calendar and expanded the festival to three days for the first time in its history.
