‘Shark Week Is An Unmatched Legacy Built On Bold Storytelling, Pioneering Science,” Says Joseph Boyle, Head of Content, Discovery Channel

The ocean’s most formidable apex predators are back and bigger, bolder and more thrilling than ever as Discovery’s Shark Week returns Sunday, July 26 at 8pm ET/PT.

The week-long celebration dives into the mysterious worlds of these apex predators, bringing audiences closer to their raw power and untamed nature.

“As the original and longest-running programming event, Shark Week is an unmatched legacy built on bold storytelling, pioneering science, and must-see cultural moments,” said Joseph Boyle, Head of Content, Discovery Channel. “This year, we continue to raise the bar with a lineup that delivers glowing sharks, Jurassic giants, record-setting stunts…and even, K-Pop.”

Great White Shark with mouth open

To kick off the week, actor/comedian Ken Jeong and Grammy-nominated artist REI AMI team up in the boundary-pushing “K-Pop Shark Heroes,” using the power of K-Pop to transform the perception of sharks in East Asia and across the globe.

Fan-favorite franchise “Air Jaws: Red, White and Breach” returns with mega shark action as scientists investigate whether legendary breaching great whites have entered American waters, delivering an untamed predator spectacle. Global explorer Josh Gates hunts for the truth behind history’s first recorded shark attack and whether an infamous sea monster was a shark all along in “Expedition Unknown: Shark Secrets.” Adrenaline reaches new heights in “Ultimate Shark Dive” as cliff diver Molly Carlson attempts a record-setting dive into shark-infested waters.
