Ghanaian musician Rocky Dawuni has released a video for his single “I Got A Song.”

The video pairs animation with the song’s hopeful message, translating rhythm, lyrics and is inspired by the Australian Aboriginal concept of “songlines” which serve as cultural passports and living repositories of knowledge, passed down through generations to preserve identity and connection to ancestral lands.
In collaboration with Cedella Marley, the single is globally distributed by Aquarian Records/Tuff Gong International.
Marking a milestone in Dawuni’s visual journey, this release is his first fully animated lyric video, brought to life by acclaimed motion designer and graphic artist Ellen Wood.

Drawing from this profound philosophy, the song becomes a love letter to humanity, spiritually bridging Africa, the Diaspora and the world.
“Music is the heartbeat of global connection,” says Dawuni. “This song, and having the opportunity to collaborate with Cedella, honors that spirit while invoking a call for harmony, identity, and purpose.”
