Snoop Dogg is set to star in a boxing drama.

Known for projects “BMF,””Dolemite Is My Name,” “Starsky & Hutch” and “Soul Plane,” his latest project “The Faith of Long Beach” is written and directed by “Snowfall‘s” Eric Amadio.
The film follows a soft-spoken street fighter raised in a Long Beach group home who is torn between his troubled past and a promising future as he attempts to leave behind backyard brawls and follow in his estranged father’s footsteps into professional boxing.
The role to be played by Snoop Dogg has not yet been disclosed.
Snoop Dogg, a 16-time Grammy-nominated artist and Long Beach native, will produce the film alongside Everlast Pictures’ Adonis Tountas and Sara Ramaker for Death Row Pictures.
