Sony Pictures has released images for “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.”
It’s the third offering in the animated movie which follows a teenager who gains powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider.
Audiences were introduced to Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) in the 2018 movie “Into the Spider-Verse” and followed the saga of Black Spidey in 2023’s “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” which followed Miles as he clashes with a “Spider-Society” led by Miguel O’Hara over saving his father from a destined death.
Based on the Marvel Comics, the film has a uniqueness that sets itself apart from anything else in the genre.
In the 3rd sequel, Miles is back for the final chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga in “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.”
Hunted by Miguel O’Hara’s Spider Society and betrayed by his friends, Miles finds himself in the darkest corners of the Spider-Verse in search of a way home.
Knowing that his family has been not only fractured but endangered by his calling, it’s a race against the clock for Miles to travel across the wildest reaches of time and space to fight for and reunite everything he holds most dear.
Hailee Steinfeld, Brian Tyree Henry, Issa Rae and Daniel Kaluuya return to reprise the roles.
Written by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller & David Callaham and directed by
Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson, the film spins into theaters June 18.
