A star-studded, red carpet premiere, attendees included executive producers and stars and author and executive producer Araminta Hall, along with executive producers Katherine (Kay) Oyegun, Pilar Savone and Lindsey McManus.
Apple TV will air the first two episodes on Wednesday March 18, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through April 29.
Based on Araminta Hall’s novel, the ensemble cast starring alongside Emmy Award-winners Moss and Washington also includes Kate Mara, Joel Kinnaman, Corey Stoll, Leslie Odom Jr., Audrey Zahn, Jill Wagner, Rome Flynn, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Violette Linnz, Indiana Elle, Jackson Kelly, Keith Carradine, Ana Ortiz, Wilson Bethel and Sherri Saum.
“Imperfect Women” is a co-production between 20th Television and Apple Studios and is executive produced by Moss and Lindsey McManus, who initially optioned the book, via their production company Love & Squalor Pictures.
The story follows three best friends whose lives are shattered after a crime is committed. A suspenseful drama that explores guilt and retribution, the book which came out in 2020, is a whodunit drama about love, betrayal and redemption.
No stranger to explosive dramas, Washington, has starred in several films including “The Last King Of Scotland,” about Ugandan President Idi Amin and the 2004 biopic on musician Ray Charles “Ray,” which earned her an Image Award for Best Actress.
Washington, who is married to Nnamdi Asomugha, a Nigerian-American former NFL player, broke barriers in 2012 by becoming the first African-American woman to headline a network TV show for her portrayal of Olivia Pope in the drama series “Scandal.”
She recently played Omar Sy’s love interest in “Shadow Force,” a Netflix thriller about two assassins forced into hiding.
The eight-episode series of “Imperfect Women” which also stars Elisabeth Moss (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), will make its global debut on Apple TV on Wednesday, March 18.
Washington executive produces for her Simpson Street banner alongside Pilar Savone.
