In 2000, he made his movie debut in John Singletons’ groundbreaking film “Baby Boy” and has successfully shifted his formidable charisma and professional prowess from music to movies. Seamlessly transitioning between action and drama, he has amassed a body of work that includes “Four Brothers,” Waist Deep” and “Transformers.”

Gibson recently wrapped filming the seventh installment of “Fast and the Furious.” The “Fast and the Furious” film series is one of the most successful franchise in Universal Studios history.
After the death of the film’s major star Paul Walker last year in a fiery crash in California, production on the film took a hiatus, the director James Wan (“The Conjuring,” “Insidious”) and the studio tried to figure out a strategy on how they could possibly continue filming without Walker.
On July 10th (just days before the movie’s initial release) production finally wrapped.
“I’m so lucky to be a part of this franchise. It’s almost like the best way to say it is that I can’t believe they are paying us to have this much fun,” shares Gibson who plays Roman Pearce. ”I remember filming the other day and Jason Statham and Dwayne Johnson were on set doing this big fight scene and it’s just unbelievable to be playing on that level. We’re all becoming baby mad scientists and kind of picking everything apart to just help move the needle forward.”
On his social media page, Gibson has a photo with director James Wan and Walker’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, who filled for Paul in several parts of the film.
Gibson captioned the photo, “#Fast7 Wrap Party…….. Emotional and bittersweet….. In the end you always got #Family.”
“Fast and Furious 7” also stars Djimon Hounsou and is scheduled to be released in theaters April 3, 2015.
