Gospel Goes to Hollywood

Hosted by actress Wendy Raquel Robinson and comedian Jonathan Slocumb, the Hollywood event was held to raise awareness and funds in support of the fight against domestic violence.

Hundreds of guests, celebrities, industry legends attended to witness the untold stories of faith by honorees that included actress Loretta Devine, director Bill Duke and producer Curtis King.

As guests feasted on grilled salmon and filet mignon, recording artist J. Kingdom featuring members of The Voices of Destiny kicked off the show with a medley of his hit single “Favor” and his new single “Higher.”

This performance was followed by new recording artist Leon Timbo. Grammy award-winning artist CeCe Winansalso performed a tribute to Whitney Houston while multi- award-winning saxophonist, Angella Christie received a standing ovation with her musical rendition of “Total Praise”.

The excitement continued with Pastor Donnie McClurkin who took the audience to the next level with his heartfelt performance of the song “Stand!”
