1) “Ghostbusters” director Paul Feig has built an impressive resume with memorable comedies; “Bridesmaids,” “The Heat” and “Spy” and brings the same razor sharp humor to this all-female version of “Ghostbusters.”
2) The cast of the 1984 original, including the three surviving ‘busters’ – Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Bill Murray all have cute cameos. Annie Potts and Sigourney Weaver also appear. Even the late Harold Ramis gets a nod.

3) Funny people fighting the paranormal is a great concept and the comical cast mesh well as a team. Melissa McCarthy as Abby is the paranormal expert who has dedicated her life to studying ghosts. Kristen Wiig as Erin is the physicist. A super hilarious Kate McKinnon as Holtzmann is the engineer who builds the physical Ghostbusting equipment and Leslie Jones as Patty knows the ins and outs of New York City and holds the key to solving where the ghosts are.

4) It celebrates girl power – women portrayed as funny scientists is a fresh and unique take rarely seen in Hollywood.
5) Just to see the unexpected comedy chops of Chris Hemsworth who aptly play their dim receptionist. “Kevin is a big, dumb puppy dog,” says Hemsworth of his character. “He’s full of enthusiasm and ambition, but he’s completely naïve and looks at the world from a very, very different angle than everybody else.”
“Ghostbusters” is out in theaters.
