Her credits include “Bad Boys II,” “Think Like a Man,” Tyler Perry’s “Good Deeds,” “Daddy’s Little Girls” and the voice of legendary black panther Jett Fillmore in the animated sports comedy film “Goat.”
The actress who hit fame after starring in the hit teen movie “Bring It On” in 2000 is doubling as a star and producer of the supernatural drama “Casket Girls.”
In the film, Union plays Detective Shay Williams who along with her partner Galpin (Mike Colter) are forced to fight for their survival after they accidentally unleash a group of vampires from beneath a centuries-old New Orleans church while investigating a child’s supernatural encounter.
Directed by Justin G. Dyck, it is produced by QC Entertainment, the company behind Jordan Peele’s Academy Award-winning Get Out and Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman, the film also stars Raúl Castillo, Matt Frewer and Thomas LennonAura Entertainment has acquired the US rights to the supernatural horror thriller and the international Sales company, Capture, is set to launch the film to international buyers at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival market.

We can’t wait to bring Detective Williams’ fight through the tunnels beneath New Orleans to audiences.”
The film was originally written by Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant (“Night at the Museum”), with revisions by Keith Cooper and Justin G. Dyck. Sean McKittrick and Raymond Mansfield produce for QC Entertainment, with Edward H. Hamm Jr., Jameson Parker and Gabrielle Union serving as executive producers.
Union previously starred in A24’s “The Inspection.” Colter is known for starring as the title character in Marvel’s Luke Cage and recently led Paramount+ supernatural drama ”Evil.”
Details regarding the official theatrical debut will be announced at a later date.
