DreamWorks Animation, the studio behind the animated classics “Trolls,” “How to Train Your Dragon, “Shrek,” and ” The Wild Robot,” has released the trailer for their lastest film.
Called “Forgotten Island,” the film follows two friends who stumble upon a mysterious portal that transports them to the fantastical island of Nakali, which is packed with magical and mythological creatures from their Filipino families.
With characters that include a hapless weredog Raww (Dave Franco), The Dreaded Manananggal (Lea Salonga), the most feared creature on the island, the new original film is written and directed by Academy Award nominee Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado.
Grammy and Academy Award winning singer H.E.R. and Liza Soberano star as best friends Jo and Raissa in the film which is distributed by Universal Pictures and releases in theatres September 25.
