Steven Spielberg is known for historical masterpieces such as “Amistad,” which starred Djimon Hounsou, “The Color Purple,” based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Alice Walker, “Jaws,” the “Indiana Jones” franchise, “Jurassic Park” and “E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial,” a story about a boy befriending a stranded alien.

In his latest offering, the award winning director, who has enjoyed both unprecedented popularity and critical success is returning to the world of science fiction with “Disclosure Day,” an upcoming science fiction movie scheduled for theatrical release in the United States on June 12.
Starring Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson and Colman Domingo, the story focuses on a global moment when humanity learns alien life is real, exploring the resulting political and social fallout and shares some similarities to Spielberg’s 1977 drama “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” about a UFO.
The top-grossing director of all time, Spielberg is a three-time Academy Award winner, including Oscars for Best Director and Best Picture for “Schindler’s List,” which received a total of seven Oscars, and for Best Director for “Saving Private Ryan.”
His most recent film, “The Fabelmans,” was released by Universal in 2022 and received seven Academy Award nominations, including for Directing, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actress and Best Picture.
Colman Domingo’s film credits include “Rustin,” “The Color Purple,” “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” “If Beale Street Could Talk,” ” Zola” and his engaging prison drama “Sing Sing,” where he played an innocent man serving 25 to life in New York’s Sing Sing Maximum Security Correctional Facility.
