Blair Underwood talks about how negative Hollywood stereotypes of Black people almost made him pass on his role in ‘Set It Off.’

Blair Underwood offered an intimate and revealing look at the man behind the career in a recent episode of  TV One’s  “Uncensored.”

Stripping away the Hollywood shine, Underwood confronted the stereotypes he battled, pivotal decisions that tested him, and the relentless drive that transformed him into a star with purpose. Through candid reflection, he opensed up about navigating fame, protecting his identity in an industry that often typecasts, and building a legacy rooted in intention rather than image.

The veteran actor who roles include “Set It Off,””Deep Impact”, Rules of Engagement” and Madea’s Family Reunion is a Grammy Award winner (Best Spoken Word Album for “An Inconvenient Truth”) and a two-time Golden Globe nominee.
