One’s a museum dedicated to honoring the historical contributions of Black creators and the other is a specialty coffee brand.
Coffee has a rich history on the silver screen and the Black Movie Hall of Fame have partnered with House of Koffee to create a premium cinnamon coffee.

Called Sarah’s Blend, it’s inspired by the extraordinary story, entrepreneurial spirit and enduring legacy of Sarah Rector, a Black woman from Oklahoma who became a millionaire as a child after oil was discovered on her land.
Her story was captured in the 2025 biographical drama “Sarah’s Oil” which is available on Prime Video.
The collaboration is part of House of Koffee’s Coffee With Purpose initiative.
Sarah’s Blend — Cinnamon Coffee, Inspired by the Legacy of Sarah Rector, will be offered in both 12-ounce ground coffee and 30-count K-Cups, giving customers two ways to make the story part of their daily ritual.
Shawn Edwards, executive director of the Black Movie Hall of Fame (BMHOF), leads this initiative. Edwards is also the producer of A Evening with Sarah Rector: The Untold Story and a direct descendant of Sarah Rector.
“Sarah Rector’s story deserves to continue being told because it represents so much more than wealth,” shares Edwards. “It is a story about entrepreneurship, determination, possibility and legacy. Sarah’s Blend gives us another way to introduce that story to people while creating meaningful support for the work of the Black Movie Hall of Fame.”
Coffee lovers can preorder Sarah’s Blend through HouseofKoffee.co using campaign code SARAH.
