“Lesbian Space Princess” celebrated its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Teddy Award, before going on to win the Audience Award for “Best Australian Feature” at the Sydney Film Festival.
The film which follows an introverted and insecure space princess, who travels across the galaxy to rescue her bounty-hunter ex-girlfriend, embraces LGBTQIA+ and culturally diverse voices.
The Australian adult animated science fiction comedy film is written and directed by Emma Hough Hobbs and Leela Varghese.
The film will release in UK and Irish cinemas on June 19.
