Aisha Bowe Talks About Her Journey Into Aerospace Engineering

Aerospace engineer, entrepreneur, and former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe made an appearance at this year’s NoodleCon, where she served as a featured keynote speaker on the MainStage.

Bowe brought together the worlds of science, culture, technology, and innovation and surprised attendees by bringing out special guest SpaceGodDaThug.

Together, the two helped bridge conversations between innovation and cultural influence — showcasing how the future of science and space exploration can connect with broader and more diverse audiences.

Bowe, who holds degrees in aerospace engineering and space systems engineering from the University of Michigan, spoke about her unconventional journey into aerospace engineering, the importance of black representation within STEM, the future of space travel.

In 2025, Bowe flew aboard the Blue Origin New Shepard as part of a historic all-female crew, conducting NASA-backed research in microgravity while carrying the Apollo 12 mission flag flown by astronaut Pete Conrad and is the founder of STEMBoard, an Inc. 5000-ranked technology company, and LINGO, an edtech platform on a mission to equip one million students with hands-on STEM skills.

From discovering her love of math in community college to conducting NASA-backed research in microgravity, Bowe’s story has inspired millions.
