As awards season looms, ABC recently hosted an Emmy For Your Consideraton Screening for their popular show “Abbott Elementary” which follows the lives of teachers working in a predominantly black Philadelphia public school.

The show, now in its 5th season has earned several awards and nominations including cluding Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, Outstanding Casting and is inspired by actual school events.
Held the Walt Disney Studios Main Theatre in Los Angeles, attendees included Creator/Co-Showrunner/EP/Star Quinta Brunson and Stars Janelle James, Tyler James Williams, Chris Perfetti, and William Stanford Davis. Stars Sheryl Lee Ralph and Lisa Ann Walter joined the Q&A virtually.
Following the Q&A, guests attended a lunch reception where they enjoyed “The Abbott Special,” an exclusive sandwich collaboration with LA-based deli Ggiata which will be available for fans to purchase from June 5-7.
“Abbott Elementary” stars Emmy Award winner Quinta Brunson as Janine Teagues, Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddie, Janelle James as Ava Coleman, Chris Perfetti as Jacob Hill, Lisa Ann Walter as Melissa Schemmenti, William Stanford Davis as Mr. Johnson and Emmy Award winner Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara Howard.
