Actress Tia Mowry (“The Game”) is returning to Lifetime to star and executive produce the drama “Single Black Tenant.”

The movie, which is inspired by actual events, centers on Esme Williams (Tia Mowry), who after years of scraping by, finally believes her luck has turned after landing an affordable apartment in a quiet Cleveland neighborhood. But her relief quickly gives way to fear when she begins to suspect she’s living with a killer who is trying to frame her for murder. As disturbing clues pile up including her landlord Angie’s increasingly erratic behavior and the discovery of blood-soaked rags in a vacant upstairs unit, Esme starts to believe Angie may have killed the real landlord and is setting her up as the scapegoat. With the police refusing to step in, Esme takes matters into her own hands, obsessively piecing together evidence until the truth can no longer be ignored.
Mowry first skyrocketed to fame in the 1990s starring as Tia Landry in the sitcom “Sister, Sister” alongside her identical twin sister, Tamera Mowry.
“Single Black Tenant” premieres on Saturday, June 27 at 8/7c and marks her seventh collaboration with Lifetime.
