The upcoming movie feature follows college buddies Maddie (Virginia Gardner) and Trish (Mel Jarnson) on vacation in Thailand where they find themselves locked into a deadly face-off against the ocean’s apex predator: the orca.
A trip to visit Ceto, a notorious killer whale held in captivity at Sea Park ends in tragedy and the duo find themselves in a desperate fight for survival in the wild, where severe burns, wounds, stings, and near-death experiences are only the beginning. Relying on their instincts, survival skills, and scientific knowledge, the women battle to evade Ceto. But it’s not the only tension between them as old secrets also surface.
Jarnson is a Thai-Australian actress whose breakthrough role came in 2021 when she portrayed Nitara in the action-fantasy film “Mortal Kombat” and Gardner made her acting debut on the Disney Channel series “Lab Rats” in 2012.
Directed by Jo-Anne Brechin “Killer Whale” will be available across all major digital platforms from 18th May.
