In Lifetime’s latest faith-based drama “Thou Shall Not Commit Adultery,” Grammy Award-winning artist Erica Campbell plays a woman who becomes the target of a blackmail scheme after an extramarital affair.

A Christian feminist icon and bestselling author, Cassie Newton (Campbell ) is forced to confront her own hypocrisy when her world is turned upside down after an affair. As she tries to navigate the treacherous waters of public scrutiny while fighting to salvage her marriage, career, and the trust of her devoted followers, she makes an impossible choice.

It’s all about faith and forgiveness in this drama which also stars CJ Williams as Cassie’s husband and Traí Byers who rounds out the love triangle as Troy Stamps, the “other man” whose presence threatens to unravel Cassie’s carefully constructed life.
Jasmine Guy plays an empowerment speaker, Anita Pierce and former NBA champion Matt Barnes makes his movie debut in the thought-provoking film that explores the complexities of faith, morality, and personal integrity in the face of temptation and betrayal.
Campbell, a 5-time Grammy-winning American gospel singer, songwriter, and radio host, is best known as part of the duo Mary Mary and for her successful solo career.
“Thou Shall Not Commit Adultery” is set to premiere on June 6th at 8/7c.
