Rapper Rico Nasty Makes Screen Debut in ‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’

She’s best known for building a genre-defying “punk-rap” sound and visual universe and will make her screen debut in “Margo’s Got Money Troubles.”

Rico Nasty, a rapper from Maryland who rose to prominence in 2018 with the viral single “Poppin” will be a making a transition from high-energy music videos to a scripted series from David E. Kelly.

“Margo’s Got Money Troubles” is a bold, heartwarming and comedic family drama following recent college dropout and aspiring writer, Margo (Elle Fanning), the daughter of an ex-Hooters waitress (Michelle Pfeiffer) and ex-pro wrestler (Nick Offerman), juggling bills and a baby.

Rico makes her acting debut in the series as KC, a savvy, “B-movie chic” mentor who helps Margo (Elle Fanning) navigate the digital economy. She joins an all-star cast that includes Michelle Pfeiffer and Nicole Kidman. She joins the show in the fourth episode for the remainder of the season.

The Apple original series premiered globally on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through May 20.
