Bryan-Michael Cox: ‘Sessions is an investment and love letter to a genre and culture that has literally changed our lives.’

Grammy Award-winning duo Bryan-Michael Cox and Johntá Austin have taken their expertise from the studio to the screen with the launch of their new podcast called “Sessions.”

With thoughtful commentary on the music industry, the podcast offers listeners direct access to the voices and stories behind the music with guest conversations featuring producers, songwriters with Cox and Austin guiding the dialogue and sharing their perspective on the craft, business and evolution of music.

The series will feature appearances from industry experts Dallas Austin, Jermaine Dupri and Troy Taylor.

“This is not another ‘podcast.’ It’s an extension of 25 years of friendship and collaboration,” says Johntá Austin. “Sessions is an investment and love letter to a genre and culture that has literally changed our lives, so there’s no one I’d rather be sitting across from talking R&B with other than my brother, Bryan Michael-Cox.”

With albums like Usher’s “Confessions” and Mariah Carey’s “The Emancipation of Mimi ” Bryan-Michael Cox’s work has helped shape the sound of a generation and solidify a legacy rooted in consistency and impact.

Johntá Austin is the writer behind some of the most iconic records in R&B history, including Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together” and “Don’t Forget About Us,” along with standout contributions to Aaliyah, Chris Brown and Toni Braxton.
