Helmed by Emmy Award-winner Matthew Rhys, the series is set in “Widow’s Bay” a quaint island town 40 miles off the coast of New England where evil lurks beneath the surface.
Matthew Rhys plays the towns Mayor who is desperate to revive his struggling community where superstitious locals believe their island is cursed. Determined to build a better future for his teenage son, he turns the island into a tourist destination but after decades of calm, the old stories of the island’s resurface.
The series which blends genuine horror with character-driven comedy also stars Kate O’Flynn, Stephen Root, Kingston Rumi Southwick, Kevin Carroll and Dale Dickey.
“Widow’s Bay” will make its global debut on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, with the first three episodes, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through June 17, 2026, on Apple TV.
