A coming-of-age series, “Dear Killer Nannies” is a story told from a child’s point of view. The child is Juampi, the son of Colombia’s most notorious drug lord, Pablo Escobar Gaviria.
The series delves into the relationship between Juan Pablo, his “nannies,” and his father, against the backdrop of Colombia of the 1980s and 90s revealing the human cost of a childhood spent inside one of history’s most infamous criminal legacies.

Inspired by real events and people, as well as by the accounts of Juan Pablo Escobar, it features his first-person narration alongside cameos in the first and last episode.
It highlights the contrast between the life of a child and the world full of violence in which he is forced to grow up embodied by the hit men who serve as his “nannies.”
Directed by: Pablo Fendrik (Eps 1 &2) and Juan Felipe Cano (Eps 3 to 8) , the series was filmed in over 50 locations across Colombia, in the Antioquia region as well as Bogotá and its surrounding areas and features renowned historical recreations, including the Hacienda Nápoles and the Mónaco Building, and boasts impressive action sequences.
The show premieres on April 1 exclusively on Hulu and Disney+.
