The trailer for David Oyelowo‘s psychological thriller has hit the web.
Directed and written by Nate Parker, the film follows Chris Newborn (Oyelowo) who after serving seven years in solitary confinement seeks to rebuild his life and reconnect with his family only to find that freedom has become a terrifying psychological battleground.
Oyelowo has marked the screen playing memorable characters, and was the first black actor to play an English king for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
In the film, he reteams with Nate Parker whom he previously worked with on “Red Tails.”
The film releases April 10th exclusively at AMC Theatres.
