Idris Elba is back as the voice of Knuckles, a character from Sega’s popular “Sonic the Hedgehog” series.
The first “Sonic the Hedgehog” film released in 2020 was a commercial success and spanned a sequel in 2022. In “Sonic the Hedgehog 3,” the world’s favorite blue hedgehog reunites with Knuckles and Tails against a new adversary called Shadow and the film promises plenty of action and visuals.
Director Jeff Fowler returns along with cast members Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, Lee Majdoub, and Keanu Reeves joins the franchise as Shadow the Hedgehog.
“Shadow is a bit like Sonic,” says Elba who also voices Knuckles in a series for Paramount+. “He’s just meaner and faster and Keanu brings an icon status to it.”
