Sheryl Lee Ralph: “We are leading a revolution in how women approach love.”

She’s the founder of The DIVA Foundation and is also an Emmy Award-winning actress known for her roles in “Abbott Elementary,” and as Deena Jones in the 1982 Broadway hit “Dreamgirls.”

With a decades-long career in TV, including the popular sitcom “Moesha,” Sheryl Lee Ralph has been a strong advocate for the LGBT community in bringing awareness to HIV/AIDS through her DIVA Foundation and has received many honors including the prestigious Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award for activism.

She advocates for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in the United States and the African diaspora and has impacted the lives of thousands on college campuses, churches, community organizations, and AIDS organizations around the world.

She is celebrating women’s month with series of programs tackling important topics from sexual health education to dating.

The program will be led by psychologists Dr. Erica Holmes and Dr. Nyiema Carter-Eme. Participants will actively engage in experiential activities and discussions covering the above topics.

“We are leading a revolution in how women approach love,” says Ralph. “Through providing knowledge as power via clinically informed conversations about intimacy and health—without judgment—we are empowering women to craft their own stories.
